Service Victoria Servo Saver
Retrieve Victorian fuel station details and delayed reported prices through the Service Victoria Servo Saver public API.
What you can do
- Find nearby Victorian stations with an authorised Consumer ID.
- Compare the returned fuel prices with their timestamps.
- Use coordinates for nearest-station details; do not assume an Australian station-ID endpoint.

Getting started
Apply to Service Victoria for a Consumer ID and save it as vic_fair_fuel_api_key. ToolRouter uses that credential for the Victorian source when available; otherwise it can fall back to PetrolSpy.
Cost
Service Victoria describes its public API as free after authorisation. ToolRouter charges, if applicable, are shown on the Fuel Prices tool.
Coverage and things to know
- The public API publishes fuel prices with a 24-hour delay; it is not the live price view in the Service Victoria app.
- ToolRouter caches this source for up to six hours, so read the returned timestamps.
- Service Victoria requires source attribution and does not endorse ToolRouter. Keep your Consumer ID private and follow the source terms.
- Source and implementation reviewed on 26 September 2026; this page does not certify a successful live call or an official partnership.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are Servo Saver API prices live?
No. Service Victoria states that public API prices are released with a 24-hour delay. The mobile app and public API have different freshness.
What access does ToolRouter need?
You need an authorised Service Victoria Consumer ID saved as vic_fair_fuel_api_key. Without it, a Victorian fuel search may return a PetrolSpy fallback rather than Servo Saver data.
